Transmog for friends and other stories

Today I would like to write a short post and share with you a couple of transmogs that I have made for other people, one that I threw together in preparation for Legion, and a PvP outfit I have for Eluvia.

For those of you who do not know yet, WoWhead now have a page where you can create, save and share outfits that you have created. Database > Outfits > Dressing Room.

dressingroom

I will be using links to the outfits I have created and saved there to show you these looks.

First up is a transmog I created for my guild leader. He plays a female troll druid and was looking for something a little different.  He did not really have any preconceived ideas of what he wanted, so I played around with things until this one was finished, and it was one that he liked.

I have named it Troll Druid – Green Bat on Wowhead, and you can follow the link here to see the item list. I had to leave the back piece off on WoWhead, as it does not render properly in the preview. The cloak is called: Drape of Gluttony.

I am not sure if my guild leader has ended up finishing off this look for himself, but he will always be able to reference it here should he want to!  I actually ended up liking this so much that I created a troll druid to level up. She is currently at level 71, but one day she will look fabulous!

The second person’s transmog that I would like to show off is a friend that I made through Twitter (@rvaliantine). She plays a female Tauren Shaman named Tandem, and was looking for something original looking for her character.  I was excited to pick up the challenge, and was ultimately really happy with the look that ensued.

This one I named Tauren – Dazzling Horn.  I loved putting these colours together, which you do not see very often on players. The bright blue accents really set off the whole outfit, and the helmet just really brings it all together. I feel that this is an outfit that looks really really great on a Tauren, but that other races would have trouble pulling it off.

tandem.55

I think we can all agree that Tandem looks amazing! I was so overjoyed when I saw this image and have got to admit that it was tempting to roll a Tauren!  She even improved the look a little with the belt that she chose called ‘Binder’s Chain of Unending Summer‘.

Some of you may know that other than playing my main Eluvia (an elf) I also play a Gnome on Wyrmrest Accord. I have always loved playing Gnomes, and wished for them to be able to choose the Hunter class, as it is my favourite. In the upcoming expansion ‘Legion’, this dream of mine will be a reality!  I was so excited when I found out that I threw together a quick steampunk Gnome Hunter Style that I would like to show you.

steam.gnome.hunter.YAY

I give you my Steampunk Gnome – Ready for Legion!

Last but not least, I will quickly show off my PvP transmog that I was sporting on Eluvia until recently.  The best image that I can show you is from the Wallpaper that @Ariannasaurus made for me. She has some mad photoshop skills and creates wonderful images. I will show you a crop of the wallpaper she made for me, as it shows off the armour really well.

eluvia (1)

I did not have enough brain power to come up with a fancy name for this outfit on WoWhead, but Brown, Purple, Orange PvP will have to do.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a variety of things in this post. Have you dabbled and created transmog outfits using WoWhead’s system? Do let me know if you have! You can see the list of all the ones I have uploaded so far here.

Next time on Eluvia’s Transmog Gallery I shall be doing a Community Spotlight, possibly about two people. I hope you come back to have a look!

Challenge Mode Accepted!

eluvia.flex

Last night I was able to complete the Warlords of Draenor Challenge Mode dungeons and claim this beautiful bow! OK, so I had some help from a really great group… and yes I paid them gold.  With the way my life is during this expansion I just did not have the time or patience to try and find or create a team to run these challenges the “proper” way, like I did with my Hunter and Druid on my EU account during Mists of Pandaria.  That was not going to get in my way though, and I had enough gold saved up from this expansion to pay nice people to take me along.

My next challenge came shortly after when it came time for me to put together an outfit that would match and or compliment this new bow. Hunter sets and armour in the game have extremely rarely been nature friendly. Let me explain. The challenge mode bow is literally alive. The vines along it writhe and move, the flowers open and close their petals, and butterflies flutter alongside it.  Hunter armour is usually very harsh. Spikes, dark colours even skulls.  I did think about the Hellfire Citadel set when I started making this outfit, but it would have just looked all very green and monochromatic and so I decided against that approach. That being said I do like that it is a Hunter set that looks most like leather and like something a ranger might wear in the wilds of Azeroth.  Instead I thought about the colours of the bow as a whole, and wondered if maybe I could try to match them. I think I have succeeded with this outfit in matching the bows colours in a simple and subtle manner. You can be the judge and leave me a comment below!

Item List:

Head: One-Eyed Chain Helm
Shoulders: Wild Combatant’s Chain Spaulders
Back: Wild Combatant’s Drape of Meditation
Chest: Wayfaring Tunic (base model)
Hands: Wayfaring Gloves (upgraded twice)
Waist: Wild Combatant’s Waistguard of Cruelty
Legs: Wayfaring Leggings (base model)
Feet: Primal Gladiator’s Footguards of Prowess
Weapon: Living Longbow

Eluvia.closeup

As you can see this outfit is a mixture of crafted and PvP items mostly, with the exception of the helm which I believe I received from a quest reward at some point. I had not used it in an outfit yet, and like the touch that it gives here. I love this idea of a hood that could feasible be pulled up when needed. A little word for my Alliance friends. The PvP items used may not be the exact same colours on your side.

Eluvia.jump

I hope that you can see the subtle colour matches that I tried to achieve here. The chest piece has the red and green tones that can be found in the vines and flowers. The brown tones match the twig/branch parts of the bow and the blue is also found in the flowers. The butterflies are a lighter shade of blue but it still all melds together well.

I also wanted to show off the movement of the bow a little for those of you who may not have seen it within the game yet. I have created a little gif which shows the vines moving, the flowers closing and the butterflies fluttering about.

To round out this post I also would like to show you the outfit with images taken from the character selection screen, as the details are always crisper there.

Also I just wanted to write a little note and speculate with my fellow hunters. As in Legion Survival Hunters will be a melee class, do you think that the Challenge Mode Polearm would be available to us for transmog? A fun thought, and I think that makes trying to run these dungeons even more appealing.

If any of you have obtained your challenge mode dungeon weapons I would love to see what kind of outfits you have come up with!  Do leave me a comment below.

I also want to quickly thank Arianne who helped me with editing some of my ideas for this outfit when I was playing around with it, and Organic who as always was very supportive and excited to see this end result.

Community Spotlight ::: Featuring Arianne!

Greetings friends!

I am so excited to introduce you to my second community spotlight, Arianne!

We have been following each other on Twitter for some time, and a little over a week ago she made some extraordinary transmogs that I fell in love with and wanted to be able to show off. You will see a couple of Arianne’s personal favourite transmogs for her Hunter main, as well as some really “dress up” ideas for Hallow’s End. With this in game even coming up soon, I hope that you may get inspired to get in to the spirit of things and think of some sort of dress up transmogs for your characters. Arianne certainly has inspired me and there is one transmog in particular (that you will see below) that I would love to try for Eluvia.

Now without further ado, here is Arianne in her first Legion inspired transmog.

1-legion

Item List:

Shoulders: Pauldrons of the Savage Hunt (Xhul’horac, HFC Mythic)
Cloak: Thalassian Wildercloak (Kael’thas, Tempest Keep)
Chest: Harness of the Deep Currents (Murmur, Shadow Lab)
Hands: Grips of Unending Anguish (Sun Tenderheart, SoO)
Waist: Lifecycle Waistguard (Magmaw, Blackwind Descent – normal mode)
Legs: Leggings of the Violent Gale (Lei Shen, Throne of Thunder – HC mode)
Feet: Ravager’s Pathwalkers (General Nazgrim, SoO)
Weapon: Black Bow of the Betrayer (Illidan, Black Temple)
1-legion2
(I would just like to make a little note here and let you all know that all images you will see in this post were made and sent to me by Arianne. She has some really great Photoshop skills and created these beautiful images. Thank you Arianne!)
I really enjoy this take on a Legion/Fel themed transmog. The chosen items match perfectly and immediately give off the look and feel of Legion. The Fel Wolf pet is of course the ultimate Hunter accessory and really sets the whole thing off. If any of you out there have created any Legion inspired transmogs I would love to see them. Feel free to get in touch!
Arianne’s second transmog is Sindorei ranger inspired and is her signature transmog, enjoy.
2-sindorei
Shoulders: Wayfaring Shoulderguards (Stage 1 – WoD Leatherworking)
Chest: Embrace of the Phoenix (TBC LW, pattern from Sunwell Plateau)
Waist: Wayfaring Belt (Stage 1 – WoD LW)
Feet: Wayfaring Boots (Stage 1 – WoD LW)
Weapon: Golden Bow of Quel’thalas (Alythess & Sacrolash, Sunwell Plateau)
2-sindorei2
This transmog perfectly captures how a Sindorei ranger might look. I enjoy that the overall look is softer than the Legion transmog, but still lets us know that this ranger can be lethal when she needs to be! Does anyone else want to jump into that picture? The forest looks so warm and inviting!
Now that you have seen how Arianne usually looks while in Azeroth, let us get to know her a little better. I was able to ask Arianne a few questions and will share for you with her answers.
Hi Arianne, and thank you so much for agreeing to be my second community spotlight! We have been following and looking at each other’s images on Twitter for a while, and when I saw your Hallow’s End ideas I did little happy dances. They are really creative and fun. Please tell us where you are from and how long have you been playing WoW?
Thank you! I’m so happy to be a part of this. I’m portuguese, but I’ve also been an inhabitant of Azeroth since 2008 (late TBC). I am currently residing in the Tarren Mill server.

What is it about transmog that you like the most, and have you chosen your Hallows End costume?

I just love the idea of customization and that everyone gets to look the way they want and make their character feel more special. It’s also been such a major life saver to me in roleplaying. And even though I’m no proclaimed artist, I love being creative in any way I can. As for Hallow’s End, I think I’ll just go with a vampiresque red mog I’m currently farming, for now, but I’ll most probably go as Wonder Woman on special occasion for the kicks.

As we share a love of the Hunter class, I am curious. Do you have a favourite Hunter pet, or have you begun to match the pet to your outfit?

I think the answer to this is both. I do tend to match the pet to the transmog be it color or lore wise, as you may see in the images I share. I love and collect Hunter pets, but there are three special ones that I hold really close: my white tiger Ariel (King Bangalash), which I’ve tamed at level 40 and ran my first raids with; Loque’nahak which is still, in my opinion, the most unique-looking pet in the game and was also my first rare tame; and King Krush, aka Arianosaurus, the guy with the name that always made people chuckle everywhere I carried him- and yeap, this is where my Twitter username came from!

Is there a class in WoW that you love the look and idea of but are unable to get good at playing? I have a couple of these classes myself that I just wish I could master but cannot find the time.

Same here! I am really attached to my hunter but I wish I’d be able to play other classes more often. I adore the concept of druids, their lore and relationship with nature, plus the fact that they’re this sort of “jack of all trades”. So if I ever reroll a new class, it will most probably be a drood.

What has been your favourite memory that you have gained in your time playing WoW?

I have so many good memories in WoW. I remember my very first death- my boyfriend was running to meet me while I was questing and laughed out loud as he saw me falling from Windrunner Spire from afar. Taming Loque’nahak back in Wrath was, of course, a very intense moment, after so many weeks hunting him. But I mostly miss my WotLK guild. Those really were my glory days. We had a very dedicated raid team of good players but still did a lot of silly things together. Sometimes late in the evening, after a raid, some of us would group up on the very top of the Temple of Storms in Storm Peaks, take our entire gear off and summon a ground mount. Then the our paladin and shaman would pop Crusader Aura + Bloodlust and we’d all jump towards the bottom of the Engine of the Makers. The one that died farther away from where we jumped from would be deemed the winner. And then we’d do it all over again! It was so fun and it’s moments like this that make this game so precious, I think.

With the ‘Legion’ expansion coming soon, what is the thing you are most looking forward to within it?

There are a few things I’m really excited about. One of them is (obviously) the new transmogrification system, because I struggle a lot with bag and bank space thanks to transmog gear. I am also looking forward to the upcoming hunter changes and to giving a try to the new Survival spec. Even though I probably won’t be playing it much, the idea of fighting with a spear and a beast by my side sounds so awesome to me. And finally, going inside the Emerald Dream. I’ve been secretly asking for that ever since I found one of the Emerald Portals in Ashenvale while leveling. I seriously hope that’s gonna be amazing.

And finally, as a fellow transmog addict, what are some tips or ideas that you may have for someone who is just starting to play around with outfits within WoW?

Choose a theme that you love and is meaningful to you (and your character). Spend some time browsing item models – the Icy Veins transmog guide has an amazing gallery of possible items for each class. As you get more and more comfortable with the process, start looking at details and don’t be afraid to mix and match!
And now the part that I have been so excited to show you ever since I saw Arianne tweet about these transmogs. She has made some amazing Hallows End costume ideas which I am sure will inspire avid transmoggers as well as people who are new to that aspect of the game alike!

Have you ever though about what your character may dress up as for an event such as Hallows End? Arianne has, and is graciously allowing me to show off three of the outfits here.

The first is modeled after Valla in the Diablo universe.
3-valla
Head: Wild Gladiator’s Chain Helm (WoD PvP season 2 – HORDE ONLY)
Shoulders: Stained Shoulderguards (quest reward from Blasted Lands)
Back: Tarred Greatcloak (WoD BoE)
Chest: Crackle-proof Chestguard (Ko’ragh LFR)
Shirt: Stylish Red Shirt (Tailoring)
Hands: Champion’s Gauntlets (World BoE)
Legs: Mag’hari Hunstman’s Leggings or Sunfury Leggings (quest rewards from Outland- Nagrand & Shadowmoon Valley)
Feet: Ram Carrier’s Treads (Blackhand LFR)

Weapon: Bloodmire Crossbow (quest reward from Swamp of Sorrows)

I do not think I have the time to get all of these items together before Hallows End begins, but I think I will try to collect them for next year. I dare you to go and look at a picure to Valla, and then come back and check Ariannes idea. The resemblance is very close indeed.
The second idea is a Wonder Woman transmog.
4-wonderwoman
Head: Merciless Crown (world BoE)
Shoulders: Golden Scale Shoulders (blacksmithing BoE)
Chest: Battleforge Armor (world BoE)
Hands: Protector Gauntlets (world BoE)
Waist: Sparkleshell Belt (world BoE)
Legs: Outrunner’s Legguards (world BoE)
Feet: Bloodlust Boots (world BoE)
Weapon: a simple wooden bow, or Skyfire Hawk-bow (from Om’rogg in Shattered Halls), as the colors and shape complement the outfit nicely.
I had personally seen some Wonder Woman inspired transmogs before, but Arianne’s rendition definitely points me to the super hero directly.
Transmog costume idea three is Pirate inspired. Yaaaaaaaaaar!
5-pirate
Head: Malefactor’s Eyepatch (quest reward from Blade’s Edge Mountains)
Shoulders: Harlan’s Shoulders (Armsmaster Harlan, Scarlet Halls)
Chest: Mail of Crimson Coins (Prince Valanar, Icecrown Citadel)
Shirt: White Swashbuckler’s Shirt (Tailoring)
Hands: Renegade Gauntlets (World BoE)
Waist: Blackforge Girdle (World BoE)
Legs: Talhide Lined-Leggings (World BoE)
Feet: Blackforge Greaves (World BoE)
Weapon: Widebarrel Flintlock (Fjola Lightbane, Trial of the Crusader)
Ay matey! This hunter is ready to sail and plunder throughout the Great Sea!
Now while these examples have all been for mail wearers it should not stop you from playing around with your armour class and seeing what kind of costumes you can come up with for your character.
If these three have wet your appetite, check out Arianne’s blog (Aspect of the Dragonhawk) where she has added two more sets of superhero inspired transmogs.  For those of you who are a part of the Twitter community, you can also find and follow her there @Ariannasaurus.
Thank you again Arianne for agreeing to be a part of my Community Spotlight series and for providing these beautiful images to share. All of my next posts will not be as beautiful and it’s all your fault! (teehee I am not angry though no worries! I should learn some mad photoshop skills too).
If any of you out there have someone that you would like to nominate to be a part of my next Community Spotlight post please get in touch! You can even nominate yourself!
Ta ta for now everyone, and have fun! If you create your own Hallows End transmog please show me, I would love to see it!

Eluvia’s Called to War Outfit

Hi everyone!

I finally was able to finish off this transmog and I am excited to share it with you all.  You may remember that Eluvia’s last outfit was inspired by what I thought she might look like as a part of the Silvermoon ranger/hunter squad. Or how Sylvanas may have looked before becoming the banshee queen.  I had actually put it together on Mogit before seeing the skins that are available for Sylvanas on Heros of the Storm. I was smiling on the inside when I saw her blood elf ranger skin which also uses the blue and gold colour scheme.

Today I would like to share with you Eluvia’s new outfit which was inspired by how I thought she might dress after being called to war. I still wanted to keep some items that remind me of Elves and Silvermoon, and those of you who know your way around mail transmog items will notice that I have re-used some items in a different colour.

elured.1

The belt, boots, back and legs are all WoD mail crafted gear that have been each upraded to give me the red colour scheme (except for the boots that have this colour scheme as the base model).  I was inspired to create this outfit when I received the shoulders which are a Highmaul Mythic drop.  I have been quite underwhelmed with most of the hunter gear from raids in this expansion, but I liked the details and design of these shoulders.

As you can see I went ahead and accessorized my hunter pet as well. I can just imagine sending Needle ahead throwing out quills and Eluvia following arrows flying. Oh, to be an artist so that I could draw this mental image!

elured.2

Item List:

Head: Primal Gladiator’s Coif (this colour combination is Horde only. Alliance see here)
Shoulder: Spaulder’s of Reflected Stone
Back: Nimble Burnished Cloak
Chest: Chestguard of Unending Roars
Hands: Primal Combatant’s Chain Gauntlets (Also Horde colour)
Waist: Wayfaring Belt
Legs: Wayfaring Leggings
Boots: Wayfaring Boots
Weapon: Dagryn’s Discarded Longbow (this red version drops in normal and heroic Siege of Orgrimmar)

elured.3

I had to take some faction specific screenshots for this post as two of the items used are from PvP and only available in red from the Horde vendors. For the Glory of Quel’thalas! (and all that).

You may notice from the last two close up screenshots that the shoulders have an animation. They go from still and cold looking to literally on fire! The wheel on right shoulder also spins.  In my imagination the fabric on the legguards and the cloak would open up and allow Eluvia to bundle up against the cold or camouflage in a very red forest. When you see the back view later on, notice the straps on the cloak that seem to be holding in some extra folds of fabric. These unfurled would probably make a great blanket. Or maybe it is a carry on tent? I hope I have not lost you all yet!

elured.4

eluredmogit.1

The red glow of the bow matches the gems on the belt and back piece beautifully. You may also notice some dragonception in the outfit. The shoulders havea dragon skull on one side, and the bow has two dragonlike heads at either end (could also be a strange wolf but I will go with dragon). I chose the chunky boots to keep her more grounded with the heavy bow that she is carrying, but also as the metal accents match the bow, shoulder and helm accents. I was given some constructive criticism in a transmog group that I am a part of on Facebook saying that maybe I should use more chunky gloves to balance out the boots. I personally dislike chunky gloves for my hunter though as I feel that they would get in the way of Eluvia’s shooting skills. I also felt that the other items used balance out the chunky boots. What do you think readers?

eluredmogit.2(Reminder to check out the straps)

I chose a bow for this outfit as that is my weapon of choice for Eluvia. There are however many other great weapons that you could pair with this outfit. I have chosen one crossbow and gun to show you, and will list some others that I think match rather well.

Crossbow: Felcrystal Impaler

redcrossbow

Gun: Bloodmane Gun

redgun

Other weapons that i think match nicely (there are more than these but you can start here):

Bow:  Crystalline Branch of the Brackenspore (Mythic Highmaul version), Fang Kung, Spark of Titans (Heroic Mogu’shan Vaults)

Crossbow: Wild Gladiator’s Heavy Crossbow (PvP), Mouth of the Fury (Blackrock Foundry Mythic)

Gun: Wild Combatant’s Rifle (PvP), Kor’kron Hand Cannon (Siege of Orgrimmar Normal/Heroic)

Even though I put together this outfit with my blood elf hunter in mind, the transmog actually looks great on pretty much every other race as well! (Except female orc. The shoulders just do not work on them).

redgoblin

redpandaren

redtauren

redorc

You will notice that I am only showing you Horde races here because of the two items I have used which are Horde only. I did have some fun though and look at this outfit on all the other races and it looked good across the board.

Thanks for reading everyone! If you have any comments or have been inspired by this transmog please leave me a message!

Also, if you would like to nominate yourself or a friend for my next Community Spotlight post please do contact me.  You can see my first spotlight guest Roxi in the link.

Eluvia’s Thalassian Style

WoWScrnShot_051115_115235

Hi everyone! Thanks for coming to check out my newest transmog. I thought I would start off the post with a selfie, as I really love this fun addition to WoW.

This transmog is very nearly complete. I am still missing the weapon that I want to use with it, but after 6-7 weeks of farming for it, I just could not wait any longer to show this off and of course wear it!  I had mentioned in previous posts that I was looking for a kind of signature look for my Eluvia, and I think this might be it. Unless I manage to top it somewhere when more gear comes into the game.

I feel that even though it has my signature mix and match style, it gives her a Thalassian look befitting her race and class. These first images show off the outfit without a weapon. I will get into that a little more later on.

The weapon that I wanted to use is the Bristleblitz Striker that drops from Archimonde in the Hyjal raid. It has the perfect colouring and shape to set this outfit off. Unfortunately as I said at the start of this post I have not yet been lucky enough to receive said item from Archimonde. I will show you some Mogit images of the complete outift, and also some of the weapons that I think are good substitutes until I have it, or if some of you out there prefer crossbows or guns.

First off with the Bristleblitz Striker:

mogit.2

I cannot tell you how much I hope that I manage to get this bow soon, so that I can feel like my outfit is complete.

The Golemheart Longbow:

mogit.alternatebow

This one works well in colour, and has also yet to drop. It is a random drop from trash in 10 man Ulduar, and I guess I am very unlucky.

Avalanche:

alternate.bow.1

This is the substitute I am currently using until I get the Bristleblitz Striker.

For those who like Crossbows, may I suggest Legionkiller:

mogit.alternatexbow

And finally for the gun loving hunter Shrediron’s Shredder (crafted from Engineering and upgraded to ilvl 675)

mogit.alternategun

Those are in my opinion the weapons which match this outfit best, and I would even be happy to use any of them myself. I just happen to be a bow fan, and cannot get my first idea out of my mind, and so will stick with it.

Now, because this was fun for me to do on the post about my gnome I decided to show off this outfit on a few other races. I picked three of my favourites to show here, but really as I was going through this transmog looked pretty good on most everybody.

mogit.draenei

mogit.dwarfmogit.taurenThere is something I really love about this hood on the Tauren female. From behind it is a little bit less successful but worth it anyway I think.

I would like to make a mention and tip my hood to a new Twitter friend who made the banner that you see at the top of the page. Thank you to @roxiqt for making it! I hope you do not mind that I shall also proudly show it off here. If any of you are on Twitter, do go and give her a follow. Her posts make me smile every day.

photoshoot.roxi

In a fun role reversal I was the one being photographed by Roxi for the banner. I often do these sorts of shoots with people for the images on the blog. It was a good time.

last.elu

Finally, what do you all think of this transmog? Do you also get the Thalassian vibe from it, or something else entirely? Which is your favourite weapon for this outfit? I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you again for coming by and reading.

Eluvia’s Temporary Transformation

Eluvia has been in a sort of transmog rut lately. I have been working on two transmogs simultaneously for her, as they both require raid drops. The first of these i will show you today. I am still missing the helm that I wanted to pair with this outfit. As my guild is not currently raiding Mythic Highmaul anymore, and I have not yet had luck from a follower mission, I will show you the Mogit images that include this item.

elu.1

This outfit is a mix of items across three different expansions, made up of raid drops, dungeon drops, quest rewards, world drops, and one from the Garrison.

Item List:

Head: Hood of Dispassionate Execution (Not yet obtained)

Shoulders: Wyrmstalker’s Spaulders
Back: Dory’s Finery
Chest: Ghostworld Chestguard
Hands: Rockhandler’s Gloves
Waist: Nazferiti Belt
Legs: Warsong Leggings
Feet: Steelmaw’s Stompers
Weapon: Vishanka, Jaws of the Earth

elu.2

elu.3together

I enjoyed putting together this outfit that has mostly muted tones, but feels like Eluvia is ready to go out on patrol or an adventure through the wilderness. The style of the gloves looks Hunter/Ranger to me as it protects the forearms well from the bow string. The rest of the outfit also looks light enough to carry while scampering up cliffs, and the chunkyness of the boots (which is a model I like) grounds the character.

For a complete look, I chose the helm that the Butcher drops in Mythic difficulty in Highmaul.

mogit.1

elu.2togetherAs you can see here the eye glow in the skull helm comes and goes. When the eyes shine, they match this bow wonderfully. The cloak picks up all of the colours in the outfit, and reminds me of arrow tips. Maybe Elu has stashed some away in there?

Now this is not going to be the look that Eluvia wears for the longest period of time. I am working on another transmog for her which in my mind will give her the identity that will suit the personality I imagine she has. I have nearly completed that look, but the bow is a raid drop that still eludes me.

happydance

The happy dance I will do once the bow drops will probably be very similar to Eluvia’s… happy butt wiggle happy dance.

byebye

Thanks for stopping by to see my new transmog. I hope you enjoyed it! If you did please leave me a comment so that we can connect.  Until  next time, /wave.

Terrific Tesswick

It is not often that I am able to write two posts in the same week. I only update my blog if I have something to show and so there are times where a couple of weeks can go by before a new transmog appears here.

I am delighted to show off to you all Tesswick’s stylish Goblin Hunter from Ragnaros EU. As I currently play in the US region, I do not have the pleasure of seeing many transmogs from my old home continent.  Luckily, I sometimes come across some gems on Twitter, and this is where I saw Tesswick. You can follow Tesswick @Tessassin on Twitter.

Now without further ado, I present to you this really terrific transmog. (All screenshots, courtesy of Tesswick. They are really great, Thank you!)

twesswick.1

Item List:

Head: Wolfdream Circlet
Shoulders: Spaulders of the Black Arrow
Back: Gill’s Glorious Windcloak
Chest: Laughing Skull Battle-Harness
Wrist: Trailseeker Bracers
Hands: Nimblefinger Scaled Gloves
Waist: Monsoon Belt
Legs: Warsong Leggings
Feet: Myrmidon’s Greaves
Weapon: True-Aim Long Rifle

tesswick.2

This is the original image that I saw on Twitter, and I was right away taken in my this transmog. It is perfect for a Goblin Hunter, and a great mix of new, old (and even shaman) armour pieces.

Tesswick.3

Some of you may remember that on my very first blog post I lamented the fact that it can be difficult to create a hunter look that truly evokes the class. A few of the expansions have left Hunters with many armour pieces and sets that look decidedly more Death Knightish. Tesswick has successfully created a great look for a Hunter, and on top of that for a Goblin.

Tesswick.pets

Thank you so much Tesswick for allowing me to show your transmog off! I am happy to have made a new connection with you on Twitter, and hope to continue interacting with you.

Are there any other Hunter players out there who also have struggled with creating “real” hunter styles? I would love to see what you have come up with!

Until next time, keep on mogging people!
