Rhody and the Dapper Dwarves : Part 1

Playing on an RP (Role-Playing) server in WoW (World of Warcraft) again is just so wonderful, as I am able to see a lot more thought out transmogs, than I do on non RP servers. One of my new guild mates and friends is a Gnome named Rhody. The person behind Rhody also plays at least five other characters, and they are all Dwarves. I have had the pleasure of visiting and travelling with them all in order to check out their unique styles, and have a photo shoot of course!

You are all very lucky as you also get to share in Rhody’s creativity through these posts. I have decided to break them in to three posts, as I think that will give each character their proper spotlight, and also not fatigue any readers. As you will see, Rhody really thinks about each character. Who they are, how they would present themselves and behave, how they look, and most importantly for this blog what they would wear. It is not often that you can tell a characters possible back story or behavior from how they look, but I think Rhody has done a great job in capturing all the character’s essences.

Now without further ado, I shall start with presenting to you, Donnach the Dwarf Hunter.

Item List:

Head: Arc-Scorched Helmet
Shoulders: Pauldrons of Havoc
Back: Dark Phantom Cape
Chest: Chestguard of Flagrant Prowess
Shirt: Ebon Filigreed Doublet
Hands: Tear-Linked Gauntlets
Waist: Vereesa’s Silver Chain Belt
Legs: Greaves of Sanctified Dissolution
Feet: Mammoth Mukluks
Weapon: Creeperclaw Gun

Donnach really embodies what I would imagine a Dwarf hunter to look like. No fancy colours, but a lot of detailed in the armour. As you can see here, Rhody even does a great job at matching outfits to favourite mounts and pets. (Yes, Donnach now also has the Lifelike Mechanical Frostboar battle pet).  Donnach belongs in this wild terrain, and he sure knows how to take care of himself.

Next up, we have Bodrian, the Dwarf Mage.

Item list:

Head: Azure Silk Hood
Shoulders: Pauldrons of Revered Mortality
Back: (not shown)
Chest: Royal Moonshroud Robe
Hands: Gloves of Dark Gestures
Waist: Cinch of the Undying
Legs: (not seen under robe)
Feet: Crafted Dreadful Gladiator’s Treads of Meditation
Weapon: Devotion

This Dwarf just makes me smile. He has an open happy face, (seems dismayed that the prisoner above has made some questionable choices), and holds himself with assurance.

Truly I do not even think that I need to say very much about either of these Dapper Dwarves. The outfits, and images speak for themselves!  Stay tuned for parts two and three to follow in the next few days!

Gnoemi’s Fabulous Frock

I would love to tell you all about Gnoemi’s new transmog that I was able to finally complete today!  She thinks it is rather fabulous and had a fun time showing it off in Exodar!

I went to the Exodar for the photo shoot as the colours there are very similar to the ones used in Gnoemi’s new outfit, and some of the pieces are very reminiscent of the Draenei. This transmog all came about when I looted the staff in a Draenor dungeon, and immediately I knew I wanted to use it in a transmog. I pretty much opened Mogit, and started putting something together as soon as I left the instance. The shoulders and were the first things that followed the staff, and then I very quickly came to realise that I wanted to go Orange/Purple which are complementary colours.  I have also put the Illusion enchant “Power Torrent” on the staff, which gives it flames that change colour between purple and orange.

Some more gratuitous Gnome pictures because she is just too cute!

Item list is as follows:

Head: Circle of Flame
Shoulder: Mantle of the Preserver
Back: Drape of the Messenger
Chest: Robes of the Tempest (Mage only)
Hands: Shadowmoon Grips
Waist: Shadowmoon Sash
Feet: Vicious Fireweave Boots
Weapon: Sol’s Magestaff

Here are some images from Mogit so  you can see the items more clearly.

To some this outfit may scream fire mage, but I think it has a good all round mage feeling about it. The shoulders, crown and staff just ooze magical power, and the robe and back piece are a lovely canvas that let those items stand out, without becoming boring. There is a lot of detail on all of these pieces, yet they can all hold their own within the outfit.

Because it was so much fun for me to show a transmog outfit on the other body types in my last post, I thought I would share some of the other races who can be mages, and show this outfit on them.

Fun fact, only Taurens cannot choose the mage class. Gnoemi thinks that is somewhat unfair.

I added a shot from the back here so you can see the robe as well as the back piece on a taller form. It flows lovely on a Night Elf.

I hope you all enjoyed this look!  I know I had fun putting it together. Honestly it looks good on all races, but somehow that Draenei Male wins… after gnome of course.

See you all next time! Please leave me comments or any ideas or inspiration that has hit you from this post.
