Transmog for friends and other stories

Today I would like to write a short post and share with you a couple of transmogs that I have made for other people, one that I threw together in preparation for Legion, and a PvP outfit I have for Eluvia.

For those of you who do not know yet, WoWhead now have a page where you can create, save and share outfits that you have created. Database > Outfits > Dressing Room.

I will be using links to the outfits I have created and saved there to show you these looks.

First up is a transmog I created for my guild leader. He plays a female troll druid and was looking for something a little different.  He did not really have any preconceived ideas of what he wanted, so I played around with things until this one was finished, and it was one that he liked.

I have named it Troll Druid – Green Bat on Wowhead, and you can follow the link here to see the item list. I had to leave the back piece off on WoWhead, as it does not render properly in the preview. The cloak is called: Drape of Gluttony.

I am not sure if my guild leader has ended up finishing off this look for himself, but he will always be able to reference it here should he want to!  I actually ended up liking this so much that I created a troll druid to level up. She is currently at level 71, but one day she will look fabulous!

The second person’s transmog that I would like to show off is a friend that I made through Twitter (@rvaliantine). She plays a female Tauren Shaman named Tandem, and was looking for something original looking for her character.  I was excited to pick up the challenge, and was ultimately really happy with the look that ensued.

This one I named Tauren – Dazzling Horn.  I loved putting these colours together, which you do not see very often on players. The bright blue accents really set off the whole outfit, and the helmet just really brings it all together. I feel that this is an outfit that looks really really great on a Tauren, but that other races would have trouble pulling it off.

I think we can all agree that Tandem looks amazing! I was so overjoyed when I saw this image and have got to admit that it was tempting to roll a Tauren!  She even improved the look a little with the belt that she chose called ‘Binder’s Chain of Unending Summer‘.

Some of you may know that other than playing my main Eluvia (an elf) I also play a Gnome on Wyrmrest Accord. I have always loved playing Gnomes, and wished for them to be able to choose the Hunter class, as it is my favourite. In the upcoming expansion ‘Legion’, this dream of mine will be a reality!  I was so excited when I found out that I threw together a quick steampunk Gnome Hunter Style that I would like to show you.

I give you my Steampunk Gnome – Ready for Legion!

Last but not least, I will quickly show off my PvP transmog that I was sporting on Eluvia until recently.  The best image that I can show you is from the Wallpaper that @Ariannasaurus made for me. She has some mad photoshop skills and creates wonderful images. I will show you a crop of the wallpaper she made for me, as it shows off the armour really well.

eluvia (1)

I did not have enough brain power to come up with a fancy name for this outfit on WoWhead, but Brown, Purple, Orange PvP will have to do.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a variety of things in this post. Have you dabbled and created transmog outfits using WoWhead’s system? Do let me know if you have! You can see the list of all the ones I have uploaded so far here.

Next time on Eluvia’s Transmog Gallery I shall be doing a Community Spotlight, possibly about two people. I hope you come back to have a look!

This is Gnomeregan! Let’s-a go, little gnomes!

It is one of those weeks where I have more than one transmog to show you. I confess I love those weeks because it means that I have come across things that excite me within the World of Warcraft (WoW) transmog scene.

I am very proud to present a fellow member of on Wyrmrest Accord, who has made two transmogs which can be classified as cosplay within WoW. The title of this post may have given the first one away, so without further ado I present Waldonarvis the Kingslayer on Wyrmrest Accord US.

leo1.1 leo.1For anyone who has seen the movie “300”, I think we can agree that this transmog is a very well executed Spartan look, especially of the Spartan leader Leonidas. If you do not know who I am talking about right now please search for some images online so that you can see the resemblance.

Item List:

Head: Supple Helm
Shoulders: Mushan Hide Spaulders
Back: Vibrant Silk Cape
Chest: Warden’s Wraps
Bracers: Rageclaw Bracers
Hands: Rageclaw Gloves
Waist: Rageclaw Belt
Legs: Rageclaw Leggings
Feet: Sandals of the Insurgent
Weapon: Bonechewer

This transmog captures the essence of Leonidas so well, that it is instantly recognisable to anyone who has seen the movie. Those of you who may not have seen it probably realised that this Gnome is a Spartan warrior anyway as the look is quite iconic.  I commend Waldonarvis for having chosen a very plain looking red cloak to complete this look rather than be tempted by the richer looking fabrics and trims. The very simple polearm looks very similar to what the Spartan army probably used as well. Just imagine a round shield on the other arm in your minds eye.

Gnomes! Ready your breakfast and eat hearty... For tonight, we dine in hell!

Gnomes! Prepare for glory!

Gnomes! Prepare for glory!

Next up is Shintobeans, Hellscream’s Downfall on Fenris US. This gnome is played by the same person as Waldonarvis, but as you can see on a different realm. Did my double title give you enough hints for the transmog to come?

I am sure, like myself you have at least 4-5 quotes playing in your mind right about now. Of course this requires you to have played a rather famous game character outside of WoW, who I am sure needs no formal introduction.  The grin on my face could not be taken away when I saw and hung out with my new friend to take these screenshots.

Item List:

Head: Whitemane’s Embroidered Chapeau
Back: (not shown)
Chest: Blue overalls
Shirt: Red Linen Shirt
Hands: Buccaneer’s Gloves
Waist: Belt of Divine Guidance
Legs: (Hidden under the overalls)
Feet: Soft-Soled Linen Boots

Not only is this outfit a complete success, but it comes with some pretty awesome accessories!

mario.turtle.haha Mario.mount

I just can’t even…. how well thought out is this? Am I right?

Thank you Waldonarvis/Shintobeans for letting me show off your epic in-game cosplay transmog outfits!  I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in the future.

Have any of you seen a cosplay within the game lately, or do you have one to show me? I would love to hear about them. Until then, thanks for reading and see you next time.

Rhody and the Dapper Dwarves: Part 3

The time has come for part 3! I hope you have all been enjoying Rhody’s transmogs as much as I have.

I present to you Thura, noble Dwarf Paladin.

There is a great attention to detail and story built into this transmog. Rhody also started posing a lot more by this point and it was a lot of fun for me to capture the different moments.

Item List:

Head: Savage Gladiator’s Ornamented Headcover
Shoulders: Savage Gladiator’s Ornamented Spaulders
Back: (not shown)
Chest: Savage Gladiator’s Ornamented Chestguard
Tabard: Argent Crusader’s Tabard
Hands: Savage Gladiator’s Ornamented Gloves
Waist: Belt of the Ringworm
Legs: Savage Gladiator’s Ornamented Legplates
Feet: Boots of Kingly Upheaval
Main Hand: Steelforged Hammer
Off Hand: Ironmender

Thura.12This is such a regal yet practical look, and screams Dwarven, as well as Crusader Paladin. That hammer is a great touch.

Remember what I had said about Rhody also matching transmogs to mounts really well? Check this out.

Lots of images I know, but this mog deserves it, and the photo shoot was too much fun!

Dwarve’s best friend.

Now, last but not least comes Rhody, a cheecky lovable Gnome (but do not say that to her face, she may throw some daggers at you).

Item List:

Head: Adventurer’s Bandana
Shoulders: Shoulderpads of Assassination
Back: (not shown)
Chest: Vest of Discovery
Hands: Savage Gladiator’s Leather Gloves
Waist: Titan-Forged Belt of Triumph
Legs: Cinderweb Leggings
Feet: Boots of the Neverending Path
Weapons: Steelforged Dagger x2

This mix and match of items, marry surprisingly well together, and give Rhody a very practical, comfortable, no nonsense look.

I dare say she would not care much what we think either way…

*Stand very still, I will throw these daggers right past your ears, so you can hear the whistle*. Ehm, no you are ok thanks Rhody!

Thanks again to Rhody for showing me all of these transmogs, and allowing me to show them off to others who may be interested. I look forward to seeing more!

Gnoemi’s Fabulous Frock

I would love to tell you all about Gnoemi’s new transmog that I was able to finally complete today!  She thinks it is rather fabulous and had a fun time showing it off in Exodar!

I went to the Exodar for the photo shoot as the colours there are very similar to the ones used in Gnoemi’s new outfit, and some of the pieces are very reminiscent of the Draenei. This transmog all came about when I looted the staff in a Draenor dungeon, and immediately I knew I wanted to use it in a transmog. I pretty much opened Mogit, and started putting something together as soon as I left the instance. The shoulders and were the first things that followed the staff, and then I very quickly came to realise that I wanted to go Orange/Purple which are complementary colours.  I have also put the Illusion enchant “Power Torrent” on the staff, which gives it flames that change colour between purple and orange.

Some more gratuitous Gnome pictures because she is just too cute!

Item list is as follows:

Head: Circle of Flame
Shoulder: Mantle of the Preserver
Back: Drape of the Messenger
Chest: Robes of the Tempest (Mage only)
Hands: Shadowmoon Grips
Waist: Shadowmoon Sash
Feet: Vicious Fireweave Boots
Weapon: Sol’s Magestaff

Here are some images from Mogit so  you can see the items more clearly.

To some this outfit may scream fire mage, but I think it has a good all round mage feeling about it. The shoulders, crown and staff just ooze magical power, and the robe and back piece are a lovely canvas that let those items stand out, without becoming boring. There is a lot of detail on all of these pieces, yet they can all hold their own within the outfit.

Because it was so much fun for me to show a transmog outfit on the other body types in my last post, I thought I would share some of the other races who can be mages, and show this outfit on them.

Fun fact, only Taurens cannot choose the mage class. Gnoemi thinks that is somewhat unfair.

I added a shot from the back here so you can see the robe as well as the back piece on a taller form. It flows lovely on a Night Elf.

I hope you all enjoyed this look!  I know I had fun putting it together. Honestly it looks good on all races, but somehow that Draenei Male wins… after gnome of course.

See you all next time! Please leave me comments or any ideas or inspiration that has hit you from this post.
