This is Gnomeregan! Let’s-a go, little gnomes!

It is one of those weeks where I have more than one transmog to show you. I confess I love those weeks because it means that I have come across things that excite me within the World of Warcraft (WoW) transmog scene.

I am very proud to present a fellow member of on Wyrmrest Accord, who has made two transmogs which can be classified as cosplay within WoW. The title of this post may have given the first one away, so without further ado I present Waldonarvis the Kingslayer on Wyrmrest Accord US.

leo1.1 leo.1For anyone who has seen the movie “300”, I think we can agree that this transmog is a very well executed Spartan look, especially of the Spartan leader Leonidas. If you do not know who I am talking about right now please search for some images online so that you can see the resemblance.

Item List:

Head: Supple Helm
Shoulders: Mushan Hide Spaulders
Back: Vibrant Silk Cape
Chest: Warden’s Wraps
Bracers: Rageclaw Bracers
Hands: Rageclaw Gloves

Legs: Rageclaw Leggings
Feet: Sandals of the Insurgent
Weapon: Bonechewer

This transmog captures the essence of Leonidas so well, that it is instantly recognisable to anyone who has seen the movie. Those of you who may not have seen it probably realised that this Gnome is a Spartan warrior anyway as the look is quite iconic.  I commend Waldonarvis for having chosen a very plain looking red cloak to complete this look rather than be tempted by the richer looking fabrics and trims. The very simple polearm looks very similar to what the Spartan army probably used as well. Just imagine a round shield on the other arm in your minds eye.

Next up is Shintobeans, Hellscream’s Downfall on Fenris US. This gnome is played by the same person as Waldonarvis, but as you can see on a different realm. Did my double title give you enough hints for the transmog to come?

I am sure, like myself you have at least 4-5 quotes playing in your mind right about now. Of course this requires you to have played a rather famous game character outside of WoW, who I am sure needs no formal introduction.  The grin on my face could not be taken away when I saw and hung out with my new friend to take these screenshots.

Thank you Waldonarvis/Shintobeans for letting me show off your epic in-game cosplay transmog outfits!  I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in the future.

Have any of you seen a cosplay within the game lately, or do you have one to show me? I would love to hear about them. Until then, thanks for reading and see you next time.

Darnassian/Silverwing Sentinel Transmog

It has been a while that I have wanted to put together a transmog that would feel Darnassian. Or at least like a night elf Sentinel.  A few pieces of armour exist that come close to the sentinels in game, and I have chosen them, plus made a change here and there.

The breastplate that matches the in game sentinels the best is made of Plate and so is not one that I can use for a transmog as a hunter. Instead, I opted for something similar.

So as you can see, I have stood myself next to a Sentinel in Darnassus so you can compare side by side.

Head: Netherstorm Helm
Shoulders: Ornate Pauldrons
Chest: Knight’s Breastplate
Waist: Netherfury Belt
Legs: Scaled Greaves of Patience
Boots: Abyssal Mail Greaves
Weapon: Brutal Gladiator’s Longbow

Hands: Nethersteel Gauntlets

The Helm is pretty much the exact same as the Sentinels in the game wear. I made a change to the shoulder slot as I could not find the best duplicate which would have been the Impenetrable Pauldrons.  I farmed for them for a while, and checked the Auction House, but had no luck. I opted for the ones above instead, which are actually very similar to the ones that the Silverwing Sentinels in the game use. You can fly down to Ashenvale to see them and compare for yourself. Let me know what you think!

Another bow which would look nice with this look, is the Ironfeather Longbow.  Sadly I am no longer able to get this item, as when I completed the quest some time ago I did not choose it as a quest reward. The reason for this, I believe was, that Transmog was not yet in the game, and so I did not pick it up due to lack of space. Also, at the time, the stats on it were for a Warrior (this has been changed since then).  I mourn this loss, as it is pretty much the one item that I would love to own. Especially as a night elf. This bow is very similar to the one that Tyrande now wields within the game.

I also went and picked up the Silverwing Battle Tabard.  As I have chosen to model at least the shoulders after them, I thought I could complete the look with their tabard. If you go with the more “traditional” shoulders you could also complete your look with the Darnassus Tabard.

Lastly I just want to thank the website WoW Roleplay Gear, for the help I found there while putting together my Sentinel look. 🙂
